Lisandro A. Jimenez-Roa, Professional doctorate in Engineering (PDEng)

by Thom Badings

On November 23rd, 2020, Lisandro A. Jimenez-Roa successfully defended his PDEng project on data-driven damage detection for bridges through vibration structural health monitoring. This project sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure (Rijkswaterstaat) was conducted at the University of Twente in the Construction Management and Engineering (CME) group.

Currently, Lisandro works as a Ph.D. student within the PrimaVera project in the Formal Methods & Tools (FMT) group. His research is focused on the design of hybrid prognostic algorithms to improve the computation of prognostic metrics through model learning, data-driven methods, and physics-informed approaches.
